The Titanic

Read the Story:

The Titanic Orphans

“Louis and Lola” were Michel and Edmond Navratil, four and two. They were known as the Titanic Orphans – the only children rescued without a parent or guardian.
“After Titanic’s collision, their father placed Michel and Edmond in the last lifeboat successfully launched from the ship. Michel later claimed to remember his father telling him: “My child, when your mother comes for you, as she surely will, tell her that I loved her dearly and still do. Tell her I expected her to follow us, so that we might all live happily together in the peace and freedom of the New World.”.
“M. Navratil died during the sinking. Since the children were toddlers and spoke no English, they could not identify themselves. French-speaking first-class passenger Margaret Hays cared for the boys at her home until their mother, Marcelle, could be located, which occurred as a result of newspaper articles including their pictures. Marcelle sailed to New York City, New York and was reunited with her sons (below) on May 16, 1912.”

Celine Dion “My Heart Will Go On”

Every night in my mind/dreams
I see you I feel you
That is how I know you go home/on
Far across the sea/distance
And spaces between us You have come to show you go home/on
Near, far, wherever you go/are
I believe that the heart does go on
Once more you open the window/door
And you’re here in my heart
And my heart will go on and up/on
Love can touch us one way/time
And last for a lifetime
And never let go till we’re gone/one
Love was when I loved to/you
One true time I hold to
In my life we’ll always go home/on
Near, far, wherever you were/are
I believe that the heart does go on
Once more you open the door
And you’re here in my pocket/heart
And my heart will go on and on
There is some love that will not go away
You’re here, there’s nothing I do/fear,
And I know that my heart will go on
We’ll stay forever this time/way
You are safe in my heart
And my heart will go on and on

And just for fun  – ‘Titanic’ parodies to lift sinking spirits!
